I recently visited the Caribbean island of Saint Martin and fell in love. Everything about the island was wonderful; the friendly people, the beautiful beaches and the amazing food! I loved the French-Caribbean cuisine and everywhere I went the locals were helpful and wanted to show me their culture. It was really cool to see one side of the island was Dutch, and the other was French. I found some great locally made treasures at the Marigot Market and ate amazing fish dishes at the French Quarter. St. Martin felt like the perfect mix of the Caribbean and France! One of my MUST-SEE experiences was spending a day in Anguilla (20 mins ferry ride from St. Martin). Anguilla was the perfect quiet getaway. I loved that the island wasn't commercial, so the beaches were so empty and absolutely stunning! Definitely recommend it for a relaxing get away.
