WHERE IN THE WORLD IS KIMMIE?

My traveling experiences!

  • Santorini

Posted on July 28, 2011 by Administrator

Where do I begin with Santorini?
I've seen it in magazines, heard stories about it, but nothing said or written does this place justice. I was blown away...definitely one of the most beautiful places I've visited in the world. From the white cliff side villas, beautiful beaches, to the breathtaking views...
now I know why it's one of the most popular romantic getaways. If you're ever in Greece, you must visit Santorini-it's unforgettable.

    One word sums it up....MAGICAL!

  • Dubrovnik, Croatia

Posted on July 13, 2011 by Administrator

Made a pit-stop in Dubrovnik, Croatia early this week.
I didn't do any research prior to my arrival, so I pretty much went here with no expectations.
When I arrived I was totally blown away!
We rented a driver for the day and he showed us all the coolest spots and most amazing hill top views in town. Wow! What a gorgeous, quiant beach town.
If you're ever in Croatia, make sure to stop by Dubrovnik...cute cute cute!

  • In Love With Paris...

Posted on July 11, 2011 by Administrator

Back in Paris (one of my favorite cities in the world!) for a mini trip with my mom.
I must have been a Parisian in a past lifetime, because I always feel at home here.
The Arts.... The Food... The People... The Fashion....I can't help but fall in LOVE all over again!
One day I will run away and live here for at least a few months...

  • TURKS AND CAICOS

Posted on June 28, 2011 by Administrator

A few weeks ago I ran away to Turks & Caicos to squeeze in a little ME TIME & work
on my Spring 2012 collection (can you believe it's already that time? WOW).

It was my first trip to TC, and I would say....it was LOVE at first sight.
The island was so quaint, the people were so sweet, & the beaches were beautiful.
It was the perfect getaway from NYC (less than 3hr flight & and no fuss to get to and from the airport).
I was pouting big time when it was time to go. Major bummers.

Check out my trip to Turks & Caicos....

    January 29th, 2011: Phuket, Thailand
After Krabi we hopped over to Phuket.
I'm usually not a fan of Phuket because there's just way too many people. Phuket is nice for a mini day trip, but definitely not the place you want to go to for peace of mind and to escape from the world. We managed to make the most of it, and it turned out to be such a memorable fun-filled day.
Woke up early and booked a long-tail boat to see other islands. This is a must do! Phuket town and the beaches around there are so crowded. Rent your own long-tail boat (comes with a captain) for the day and go island hopping. It's so much fun and you'll get to see the local side and small islands around Phuket. Fantastic!

Island hopping in Phuket is the way to do it. I love empty beaches!

Bao, captain of our boat. I'm not sure if he's on vacation [...]

    1/28: Krabi, Thailand PT II
Our last day in Krabi we booked John (boat captain by day & boxer by night :) ) and went island hopping. We had such a blast sunbathing on his boat and making pit stops at random islands in Krabi. It feels great to finally do nothing for a few days and get in some ME TIME. As much as I love NYC, it does take its toll on you. Sometimes you have to remind yourself to take time out to getaway and recharge.
Check out my last few memories of my trip to Krabi, Thailand.

John's boat! For $50 a day you can rent a boat with a captain to take you around all the islands in Krabi. It's so worth it! My favorite memory of my Krabi trip!

    Breathtaking!

This dragon fruit looks DELICIOUS! I LOVE tropical fruits!

Pressing RESET. This is what life is about...

After all these years of traveling to Asia, I finally made it over to Singapore. All I can say is, after spending 2 days in this city, I was so bummed I had to leave so soon. To sum it it up ---> Amazing Food + Amazing Architecture + Amazing Shopping = AMAZING TIME!

I LOVE this noodle bar! So cheap & so good!!! I'm obsessed with their food courts!

ME (I'm rockin' YK from 2009-LOVE the Woori Dress!) & Christina (my travel buddy on this trip). The city is so pretty prepping for the Lunar New Year!

Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum-Learn the history of Buddhism & stop by to pray! BEAUTIFUL!

Grub on Singapore Jerky- A must try! It's soooo good!!!

Their version of the ice cream sandwich. So yummy! Yes, I do have a sweet tooth. :)

Take a ride on the Singapore Flyer. Most of the city is Feng Shui'd-they're very superstitious here. You're [...]

  • Good Morning, Good Afternoon, & Good Evening VIETNAM!

Posted on November 19, 2010 by Administrator

I just got back from Vietnam 3 weeks ago. What an amaaaaazing trip!
I went to Saigon, Vung Tau, Hoi An, Hue and also visited my birth place, Da Nang-
all within 8 days! I still can't believe how much I did in such a short amount of time!
The food was amazing, the people were super friendly, and everything was so cheap!!!
It's so nice to travel and not have to worry about being on a budget to eat well!
Check out my 8 days in Vietnam...
    SAIGON & VUNG TAU, VIETNAM

    DA NANG, VIETNAM
The best part about my trip was visiting Da Nang and spending time with my family in Vietnam. I haven't seen most of them since my parents escaped from Vietnam 30yrs ago, when I was 14mths old. It was a pretty emotional experience.

*I lost my camera during my visit to Ba Na Hills! So bummed! You must go to Ba Na hills when visiting Da Nang!!! It's [...]
